ArcGIS API for Microsoft Silverlight™/WPF™ workshop

This free introduction to the ArcGIS API for Microsoft Silverlight™/WPF™ workshop is intended to introduce attendees to the ESRI ArcGIS Server Microsoft Silverlight/WPF API. During the workshop attendees will learn more about the Silverlight framework, the ArcGIS Server Silverlight API, and the relationship between ArcGIS Server Silverlight API, MapIT, and Bing Maps. The workshop is open to anyone interested; regardless of experience with .NET and Silverlight technologies.

Topics covered:

  • Introduction to Microsoft Silverlight Framework
    • This is a very basic introduction to introduce folks to Silverlight and RIA technologies
  • Product Topology: ArcGIS Server Silverlight API, ESRI MapIT, and Bing Maps
  • Adding ArcGIS Silverlight API Assemblies and creating a map
  • Working with ArcGIS Server Silverlight samples
  • Working with Map Layers
  • Working with Graphics
  • Querying Features

The workshop will include both presentation slides and exercises intended for attendees to follow along. There will be limited number of workstations available, so please be willing to share a workstation if necessary.
